We were helping the local community to pre-make 500 laminated name badges. We thought "since it will be laminated, why not try a generic brand?" We are so WRONG. First, they came out half way decent, bad, but not that bad. Then, guess what? After 3 days, they are all faded and have the vomit mark in most of them. Comparing to the same batch made with Brother's labels (one in the middle), it stayed perfect, black as black can be. The moral of the story? $5 savings ended up costing us 10 times more. Luckily the event is this coming Saturday. P.S. It is amazing that the Brother's thermal labels can be heat laminated. We were using the $20 Amazon Basic Laminator.
