Ever wonder why some of the bigger companies require you to check in at the front desk and ask you to sign an NDA and a waiver? Same reason why you probably should do the same on your next hot dog eating competition - liability. Unless you have a secret ingredient for your new hot dog, you don't need an NDA. But waiver, yay! It does not have to be a chore, and you can cover that during online sign up. But for those casual last-minute walk-ins, you might want to cover your liabilities. It also tells your attendees to exercise more care. The good news is, that the latest update, version 2.4.2, has added 2 new templates, and the support of the inimitable Pocket Jet PJ-763MFi. The printer is possibly the smallest full size portable printer in the world, a mere 1.5lbs, including the battery that lasts, forever. Some of our customers use this app for their Guest Management. Genius!!! Imagine this: guest check-in, the name badge is printed on your QL printer, the NDA or Waiver is printed on literally any printers. Guest signs and ready for the big meeting, all in less than 10 seconds.

We were helping the local community to pre-make 500 laminated name badges. We thought "since it will be laminated, why not try a generic brand?" We are so WRONG. First, they came out half way decent, bad, but not that bad. Then, guess what? After 3 days, they are all faded and have the vomit mark in most of them. Comparing to the same batch made with Brother's labels (one in the middle), it stayed perfect, black as black can be. The moral of the story? $5 savings ended up costing us 10 times more. Luckily the event is this coming Saturday. P.S. It is amazing that the Brother's thermal labels can be heat laminated. We were using the $20 Amazon Basic Laminator.
