Happy New Year 2017!!! Yay! We were invited to manage a party with people from all over the world. In addition to the international theme name badges with Brother's DK-2205 labels, we decided to add a little color to the badge. So we create a template for the Brother's J485dw printer, and using the Avery 5408 labels. With a little trial-and-error, the result is perfect, see above image on the left. Since every printer is slightly different, we made a little adjustment and it printed also precisely on an HP D110 printer, see image on the right. People are complaining about the labels not working properly, not knowing that with our app, you can make the adjustment in just minutes.Once it is aligned, you are set for good. Happy 2017!!! Wish your business grows internationally.

First of all, Happy Holidays!!! We put together this special Holiday edition for the busy event managers. In this bag, you have the printer preloaded with labels good for 300 prints. It also includes 2 iPhones and a router, all ready to go. You can set up the entire check-in system in less than 5 minutes. Print each name badge in under 10 seconds and you can check in 300 guests within an hour. One person can do it all. The extra iPhone can be used by a second person during heavy traffic. P.S. the bag is water-proof and shock proof.
There is no deficit or surplus with Name Badge app, your import is always equal to your export, no matter what "foreign" entity you are dealing with. Two most popular online event management websites Eventbrite.com and Meetup.com are great. But they are missing that Brotherly love by not directly supporting the Brother's label printer. They are awesome with your laptop, but not so friendly with your smartphone and tablet. We just added the template file that will automatically convert Eventbrite to NB201 format. You will have to invest a long 90 seconds to do so (haha... being funny here). Read the new FAQ/Help and download the EventBriteConversion.xls. Learn one, you learn them all. Yes, we can support direct import of any of these websites by intelligently "detect" the feed. Piece of cake, yay? Soon, I promised. :)
Today I scouted this iPhone 4 beauty from local craigslist for $80. It is in perfect condition. I remembered many years ago I bought my first iPhone 4 for $700 and later traded it up for $200. So this $80 is quite a bargain. It is small, fully functional, great battery life, and guess what? It runs the Name Badge app, even with our latest release 2.0. You can walk around the event venue holding this little beauty, and quickly register all your guests. Another perk... if you lost it, you won't cry too much. ;)
With literally unlimited templates included in the Name Badge Check-In app, we missed this template that allows you to incorporate your logo on the badge. Thanks to our customer from Netherlands, we will attach this template for you to download. The template is created by simply duplicating the default template, replace the HELLO image, and allocate the upper left corner for your logo. This template also demonstrates one of the 2.0 new features, that changes the guest name, and company name to upper cases. Once you download the template, upload your black & white logo to your photo album, go to settings, choose and edit the new template, select Field 2, and tap image, and replace the image with the one you just uploaded. Yes, that's it. Note: to enter and display Guest's company name, use the description field on the check-in screen.
We are happy to announce the release of Name Badge 2.0. With an optional BYO cloud server or private server, it is now supporting multi-users. It is also more robust in label printing with multiple users and a single QL printer. We also added many template features and fixed all the known bugs. All your previous settings, event databases, will be preserved. However, we do suggest that you backup your data and start from scratch for your next event. For those of you prefer single user mode, it will be mostly transparent. The big difference will be the image/icon now appearing on your event menu. For those who wish to test the multi-users mode using our server, please contact us. In the meantime, just imagine: A staff of 4 can now easily manage 500 guests with just one printer while having a spare iPad connected to Apple TV, displaying guest's name and photo as s/he arrives. Check out our server-in-a-box for rent for as little as $100 per event, limited time only. If you live near Los Angeles area, we can give you a live demo at your location.
"The Charity Event yesterday was fantastic and the township children just loved having their selfies taken... in our impoverished township environments, photos are a treat, I had two delightful ladies helping me to keep all the kids in some semblance of order and they asked me to take and print their pictures also so that they could put it up on their wall at home (how precious, sad and blessed is that all in one go?!)." - an exact quote from a user (about 300 kids at this Charity event, printer is running on a generator as no electricity is available at the location)
![]() One of our clients came up with an event to catch the wave of the most popular app in the history of mobile games - Pokemon Go. All attendees will get a laminated name badge that can double as a luggage tag. We suggested the Pokemon card as background, which can be purchased at less than $.30 each. Each badge costs about a dollar if you make it yourself. The event attracted 400 happy people. Contact us to get a free template. For those of you on a tight budget, consider smaller name tags. Clockwise, DK-2225 only 38mm, DKN-5224 54mm non-adhesive, DKN-2205 at 62mm, and DK-2223 50mm. You can print 100 smallest name tags in 2 minutes. Hey, time to get up close and personal.
Aha, truly one size fits all. Print name tags, make name badges, and print sponsor ad on your lunch box. Name Badge app is a hero in this event. See how sponsor can focus on speaking to guests, and how relax is our hostess?
